The great mime died Saturday in Paris. He brought poetry to silence (AP).
A Marceau quote (Reuters):
"Mime, like music, knows neither borders nor nationalities," he once said. "If laughter and tears are the characteristics of humanity, all cultures are steeped in our discipline."
Marcel Marceau survived the Holocaust, fought in the resistance, was inspired by Charlie Chaplin.
