Yastrzemski And Shay -- From The SI Vault

The College Football Preview issue of Sports Illustrated is on the stands, but baseball records dominate the minds of many sports fans

This issue of SI, on Page 117, includes a cover gallery, which starts with a 1967 Art Shay cover shot of Carl Yastrzemski who, the magazine notes, "was en route to winning the Triple Crown and leading the reformed Red Sox (the players used to party too much, they admitted) to their first pennant since 1946."

Just a few weeks ago, the Cover Gallery featured another great SI shot by Art Shay, of dashing Earl Young.
