How do I hang my curtain rods? I have yards of beautiful fabric that I bought cheap and I have oodles of library books on sewing patterns for curtains. But I have no knowledge of tools so I can't drill in a simple cornice board or rod. Am I supposed to look for studs? Every instruction says "drill here" and it isn't that simple. I do own a Dremel. Can I use that? Same problem with smoke alarms. I bought a multi pack of smoke alarms for $20 (including batteries) and I plan to lean them on top of the door tops. If I knew more about using the drill that I think I own, I would install them on the ceiling.
