Duct/Duck tape in Spanish is "cinta Americana" (literally, American tape), because it is the strongest tape there is.
Also I need to think about how I come across before I talk more often. Today I was walking to class and I heard a British girl and a Spanish guy talking about the color of something. She was trying to say copper, but didn't know the word. She said it was the color of "an American 5 cent piece," and I turned around to correct her saying that the penny is copper, not the nickle.
She thanked me and then after a second told me that we had met a month ago when I did the exact same thing. Maybe I should be less of a creepy Spanish-English dictionary.
Oh well, and I promise the next post will be about the rest of the Galicia trip.
So Army strong is really just american strong?
