writer and supporter of writers gary brown has published a most charming second review of turning leaves. if you did not see the review in the rep or on-line, or if you did see it and would like a re-read, here are two ways to get to it.

About Books: ‘Turning Leaves’ writers found personal reasons for poetry, prose
and an article that starts out: The publication of “Turning Leaves: An Illuminating Anthology of Prose and Poetry,” the collection edited by Audrey Lavin and Ray Gehani, couldn’t have come at a better time... ."
speaking of a new url, please notice that mine has been changed to http://bit.ly/flTthc. the old one no longer works, which is a real pain, especially with my new book turning leaves (as above) just out. i want to mention that you can buy the book from me at $10 + mailing, and i will pay the tax; and at elemental arts in downtown canton; canton flowers in downtown canton; the canton museum of art; tony's hair design, off everhard; and the yoga place in north canton. more shops and institutions will carry the anthology as soon as our second order of books arrives.
yesterday i started susan wittig albert's mourning gloria. i'll write about it in this blog when i finish the book, but am mentioning it now because i come down so hard on cozy series. publishers weekly says about albert's novels, 'series fans will enjoy catching up with old friends.' faint praise indeed! really, it's better than that. ex-lawyer and current herbalist china bayles is again the amateur detective who sorts out this murder as she has the other eighteen mysteries in the series. a nice summer read featuring herbs, farmer's markets, etc.
i also want to highly recommend export now: five keys to entering new markets by frank lavin (lavin? what a coincidence) and peter cohan. the book will not be released in the u.s. for another month, but you can pre-order at amazon.com.
it is 217 pages of good, straight forward, professional advice published by john wiley and sons. it is the best coach you can find if you are thinking of entering the export business.
