A Patrick Dempsey spinoff

PopSugar has an update on the "Grey's Anatomy" spinoff with Patrick Dempsey: "Patrick Dempsey took a break from riding his bike to devote some time to his other hobby, racing cars. The other day we caught a glimpse of Patrick's co-star Kate Walsh in a speedster of her own, and it turns out that was just the first of many sneak peeks at the Grey's Anatomy Spinoff."

Knitting, sex and Meredith

Alisonknits has one of the same pet peeves I have: actresses knitting when they don't know how to knit. And she wrote this brilliant take on "Grey's Anatomy" - -- "And I was cheered to see Izzie, the former model, was an experienced knitter (and it was obvious that the actress is a real knitter).  So yay, one of the sexiest people on the show is a knitter.  Izzie tells her patient/love interest that she's knitting a sweater to swap out with Meredith's, so that Meredith will think she can really knit a sweater.  Um, somehow I doubt that will work, but whatever.

But then at the end of the show, ostensibly the evening of that same day, Izzie has finished the sweater.  Finished the sweater.  Denny the heart patient/love interest is incredulous that she knit a sweater in one day."

Thanks, Alisonknits! There is no way Izzy finished that sweater. Both Izzy and Meredith have too much style to use that chunky nothing special yarn. And to knit for celibacy- REAL women can knit AND have sex. (Cross posting this on YarnTalk.)

Why Addison (Kate Walsh) is leaving Seattle

LATimes has the scoop: "Following her disastrous romantic misfortunes, Addison (Kate Walsh) travels to Santa Monica to seek advice from her old medical school pals, Naomi (Merrin Dungey) and Jackson (Taye Diggs), whom she believes have it all: a beautiful teenage daughter, a great marriage and a highly successful health cooperative. Addison quickly learns that Jackson, also a successful TV health guru, has divorced Naomi. Addison also meets the rest of the gang at the cooperative — a widowed alternative medicine doctor, a self-doubting therapist and a male gynecologist who knows little about women — and concludes that while the personal lives of the people around her may be a mess, professionally they stand out. (Sounds like those crazy interns, right?) So she decides to leave Seattle Grace behind and join the Oceanside Wellness Group team."

Selfish doctors

"I hate Izzie. She's only a selfish bitch. I hate George. He's been married for what? two weeks? And the first time he and Callie fight, he goes to Izzie, gets drunk and sleeps with her? Argh!
So Callie didn't tell him she's a heiress yet. So what? She was right not saying it from the start! Because obviously it changes the way everyone looks at her! Instead of being pissed off because Callie didn't tell him, George should have asked her why she didn't do it!
